Lisa Sorantino

Owner Lisa Sorantino received her Bachelor’s Degree in Fitness Management from the University of Delaware in 1992. While pursuing her degree, Lisa instructed corporate group fitness classes for the DuPont Company in Newark, Delaware. She then developed the University’s first on-campus Group Fitness Class Program overseeing 6 locations, in addition to serving as an individual instructor. Upon graduation, Lisa obtained certifications in Personal Training and Group Fitness Instruction from the American Council on Exercise.  In 1992, Lisa’s position with the Fitness Consulting Company, Inc as their Corporate Development Assistant exposed her to procuring corporate accounts in the tri-state area and implementing on-site health and fitness programming.  While in this position, she also accepted a part-time Fitness Coordinator position with MBNA America’s LIFE Program.  In 1993, Lisa accepted a full-time position as Health and Fitness Coordinator for MBNA America in Newark, Delaware. While working with MBNA’s onsite Health and Fitness Center, Lisa assisted with the development of their LIFE program which encompassed comprehensive health and fitness
programs. 


In 1997, Lisa Sorantino independently established her own health and fitness consulting company and was offered her first contract with MBNA America. Her company, Wellness Today, specializes in Corporate Fitness & Wellness Program Consulting, Community Outreach Programs, Comprehensive Personal Training Services and Group Fitness Programming.  She was responsible for providing multi-site corporate fitness program staffing for MBNA America/Bank of America, JP Morgan/Chase, First USA, and Claymore’s 50+ Program, to name a few.  In addition to her corporate contracts, Lisa maintained a personal training and group fitness studio for private clients in Pike Creek, Delaware from 2003 to 2010.


While managing Wellness Today, Lisa bought into a partnership with Done Direct Motors in September 2009 which wholesales cars directly to the public through the internet nationally and internationally.  She is responsible for restructuring and streamlining the business practices to ensure its’ continued success along with forecasting and budgeting daily financials and managing staff operations.  In November 2009, Lisa sold her Personal Training Studio to one of the trainers who desired her business model and finalized this in January 2010.
 


Currently, Lisa and her staff are working with companies in Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey managing their comprehensive Corporate Health and Wellness Initiatives.  Lisa continues to work with individuals both in and outside of the Fitness Industry to improve their business practices and the quality of their personal lives.
